Celebrating the life of

Karina Mae Navarro Albuna

July 22, 1983 - June 09, 2026

Karina Mae Navarro Albuna

Karine Mae “Tita” Navarro Albuna, 42, of Atlanta, Georgia, was called home to be with the Lord on Tuesday, June 9, 2026. She was born on July 22, 1983, in Savannah, Georgia, the beloved daughter of Salustiano “Sonny” Albuna and Eleanor Navarro Albuna.

Karina spent the majority of her life in Savannah and later made Atlanta her home. She maintained a large and loving network of friends from her Savannah days, staying connected with many of them from kindergarten through high school and throughout her life. She had a deep love for music and singing and enjoyed seeing her favorite artists in concert whenever possible. Though small in stature at only 4 foot 8 inches, she had an infectious laugh, a loud voice, and a big heart. Her favorite responsibility in life was being “Tita” aka auntie to all of the children in her life, showering them with love and gifts. Although she had no children of her own, she was like a second mother to all of her nieces and nephews, showering them with so much love and remaining deeply close to them. She stayed very connected to her godchildren and also cherished her enormously close work family at the Atlanta Airport Terminal Company (AATC), where she built strong bonds with her colleagues.

She is survived by her parents, Salustiano “Sonny” Albuna and Eleanor Navarro Albuna; her older sister, Mary Grace Albuna and brother-in-law Michael Floyd; her older brother, Warren Ryan Albuna and sister-in-law Jill Grass, her older brother Ivan Clyde Albuna and sister-in-law Diane Albuna; her younger brother, Jeffrey Albuna; and her many cherished nieces and nephews: Iona, Leeauna “Lulu”, Mary Ellen “ME”, Lauren Elizabeth “LE”, Aubrey, and Jaxon.

Visitation will be held on Tuesday, June 23, 2026 from 4:00 p.m until 6:00 p.m at Fox & Weeks Funeral Directors, Hodgson Chapel. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11:00 a.m. on Wednesday, June 24, 2026 at Blessed Sacrament Catholic Church.
